"If we're not all killed by the coronavirus outbreak, we will certainly be pummeled to death by the sheer brute force that is Plague's debut album."
- Metal Injection
"Portal Into Reality” provides a fine balance of seething malice and morbid malignancy, of fast-twitch fretwork and eerie soloing, with plenty of turn-on-a-dime changes in percussive rhythm to further enhance the music’s dynamism. And the song bears out the labels’ claim that Plague “effortlessly combine simplicity in form with stellar musicianship” — and, we might add, excellent songwriting skill."
- NO CLEAN SINGING"This album is astonishing. As early-Death and Massacre vibes shake and quake the listener while the riffs are flooding the room entering either with huge heavy steps or with fast violent guitars that seem like a colony of ants is spread in the walls."
- Metal Invader

" ...if you are worried your Death and Massacre vinyl might wear too fast from spinning them too often, then – try Plague. You just might find your new heroes."
- Velvet Thunder

Formed in 2011, PLAGUE is a death metal act based in Athens, Greece, that is heavily influenced by death metal's early beginnings. As the band began to write material, it was important for them to capture the quintessence of those early years.

After a series of live performances in Athens, PLAGUE entered the studio to record their first EP Abyssdiver which was released in 2014 by Anopsys Records. The band began working on their debut album while continuing to play countless shows and festival dates.

PLAGUE's debut album Portraits of Mind is a bludgeoning affair...one that often effortlessly combines simplicity in form with stellar musicianship. The result is a lesson in Death Metal; one that borrows heavily from the early 90's American scene. This album is the perfect balance of everything that makes Death Metal great - you'll see for yourself. Redefining Darkness is proud to team up with Nuclear Winter Records to bring you PLAGUE's debut album, Portraits of Mind, February 14th. This Valentine's Day, give the gift of Death Metal!
