Founded by singer/multi-instrumentalist Pyromancer in Northern France back in 2006, ARCHITECT OF SETH released a handful of demos and the promising debut album "The Persistence Of Scars" (2013) before a prolonged hiatus, due to the defection of several members. Left alone, Pyromancer played as a session drummer for various semi-professional bands, touring and playing important festivals with them, while tirelessly crafting the songs for a new album.

Now, in 2026, ARCHITECT OF SETH celebrate their 20th anniversary by releasing "Solitude Solaire," a work that, in light of the experiences lived, could only mark the achievement of its author's full artistic maturity, compensating him and fans for its long and troubled gestation.

"The album deals mainly with the rises and falls of a fifteen-year chapter of my life," Pyromancer explains. "Unhealed wounds, abandonments and hypocrisy, betrayals that have marked my journey, sepia-toned memories of the departed ones... It is the true account of an existence haunted by inner demons, despite an instinctive refusal to sink into darkness. Each track is a punch received or a punch given, cause so was my life."

Musically, "Solitude Solaire" explores the raw emotions Pyromancer experienced as a teenager while listening to metal, and which have profoundly affected him. But while firmly rooted in the '90s death and thrash metal tradition and influenced by DEATH, CORONER, MORBID ANGEL, NILE, PESTILENCE, and NOCTURNUS, among others, ARCHITECT OF SETH's style is anything but traditional. On the contrary, the addition of progressive metal elements and significant forays into black metal, dark doom, and German speed metal make the album utterly fresh and dynamic, classic without being outdated, and, dare we say, timeless. This is due not only to the meticulous attention to detail in the arrangements and the perfect balance between metal fury and evocative atmospheres, but also to a truly intoxicating epic and melodic vein, enhanced by a technical complexity that is never an end in itself.
